How to Care for a Hand-Painted Resin Figurine
Resin is durable but not indestructible. Five minutes of care a year keeps a figurine looking new for decades.

Every figurine we ship is sealed with a matte protective coat, which handles most of the work. The rest is avoiding three specific things.
Keep it out of direct sunlight
UV is the main enemy. Prolonged direct sun will fade the warmer pigments — reds and skin tones go first — over a period of years. A shelf that gets bright indirect light is fine; a south-facing windowsill is not.
Dust with a dry brush, not a cloth
A soft makeup brush or a clean paintbrush lifts dust out of the detail without dragging across raised paint edges. A cloth catches on fingers, hair strands and bouquet detail, and that is how small pieces snap.
If it needs more than dusting
A cotton bud very slightly dampened with water, worked gently, is the maximum. No alcohol, no solvent-based cleaner, no household spray — all of these attack the sealer and will dull the finish permanently.
Temperature and storage
Resin softens well above normal room temperature, so avoid car dashboards, radiators and attics. If you need to store a figurine, wrap it in acid-free tissue rather than bubble wrap, which can leave impressions in the matte finish over time.
